Fulfill Those Cravings

I didn’t own a waffle maker (Oster DuraCeramic; $20) until a week ago, and I’m loving it! The same amount of time I spend making some plain toast is about the same amount it takes to makes these fluffy bad boys.
I like to make extra batter, put it in a BlenderBottle, and store it in the fridge for quick and easy breakfast the rest of the week.
What you’ll need:
2 eggs (yolks & whites separated)
2 cups of milk
1/3 cup of oil
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of baking powder
Mix all your ingredients together EXCEPT the egg whites. You want to beat those separately, and later fold them into your mix. This gives the waffles the light and fluffy texture we all love.

For the most part, waffle batter lacks sugar, so go ahead and sprinkle them with some powdered sugar.

I topped mine with bananas. If you love the freshness fruit brings to any dish, top your waffles with berries, bananas, apples , WHATEVER YOU WANT!

If you want something that goes beyond just the top of your waffles, this batter is great for chocolate chip, pecan, and blueberry waffles as well. Just add what you’d like to the batter before pouring it onto the waffle maker and voilà!
